Here's my son Loren in front of one of the thermal features, a steaming cauldron, at Yellowstone National Park.
I didn't realize it was the first national park in the world when founded back in 1873.
Now covering more than 600,000 acres, the most famous thermal feature among dozens is Old Faithful, the geyser that sends up to 30' of water and steam into the air every 90 minutes or so.
